It’s UrbanMusicDaily’s One Year Anniversary!

We would like thank everyone for supporting us and visiting the site, a full year of being online  has passed us ( It was my birthday about a month ago too haha ). We also would like to thank everyone for helping us spread our names & also getting ourselves well known.  This is good for the artists because they will get a bigger fan base here …( Yes you are one of the fans ) .

We have been throught the bad times and as well as good times , but in the end , we have done our best to make sure you have the best pleasant experience on the site possible. Make sure you stick with us in the long run ,because things are just going to get bigger! & More suprises are still on the way .

One more thing i would like to give a special thanks to the guys at the UMD team, without them , i wouldn’t get this far . Thank you guys  .

Well here it is! The long awaited  V4  for UrbanMusicDaily!

Please read this whole post, I got lots of things to cover about V4 and important info about the site.

Layout & Design

The first thing you notice about the site is the all-new look, I spent many hours putting together the design and the pages. This was probably the most hardest thing to do, I would spent like the whole day doing this. I wish i could spend all day talking about the changes, but some are not major , some are MAJOR!. SO really i will let the new site do the talking!!!!.

Arent you puzzled when you get those errors like “Error 404″ and stuff? Well that shouldnt be a problem here! I’ve made all the wording for everything as simple as possible. I’ve even added a few funny bits here and there.

From now on , you will notice the ALL-NEW friendlier Download Page v2!.  Of course the new design is much sleek & cleaner.

3.NOTE!! — Internet Explorer 6 , 7 , FireFox 2 ( 2005 ) ARE NOT SUPPORTED!
– DOWNLOAD MANAGERS WILL NOT WORK!
4.CHECK YOUR ANTI-VIRUS OR FIREWALL SETTINGS
5.DO NOT BLOCK RapidShare,LimeLinx,Zshare.net,MediaFire,Sendspace on your security software.
6 Does Your Internet Provider block downloads ? – Please check……
7.Downloads 50% of a song or file ? DOWNLOAD AGAIN…..
8.Please try Internet Explorer 8 – It will FORCE downloads to complete…
9. ITUNES Has issues , we cannot support it . Contact Apple Inc.
THE DOWNLOADS ARE VERY SLOW :
1.Downloads WILL BE slow if there is a lot of Traffic on the servers.
2.Download WILL always take less than a minute for Music files only
3.CHECK YOUR INTERNET SPEED.
4.CLOSE Background Apps/Software ( LimeWire, Torrent, Streaming Apps , Web TV etc ETC.
5.Try Using Internet Explorer 8 ( Very fast for downloads! )
6.We can’t promise FAST downloads 24/7.!
IF THE UPDATE IS SMALL , THEY WILL BE NO PACKS.
WE WILL NEVER USE THE IMEEM MUSIC PLAYER FOR SINGLE UPDATES!
Now again , i told everyone. Imeem has BLOCKED full songs , so what is the point of it ? Just 10-30 seconds snippets ?. That wastes bandwidth & time , to be using Imeem. Also No music player will be on every post because it will mess up the homepage & the site will be even slower to load. No one wants that . All music tracks can be listened in FULL at the download page & you can download it directly. So it should be better for you guys.
THE DOWNLOADER ( BETA ) STATUS:
1.The Downloader will NOT support download managers.
2.Deleted links will display “1245678″ ERROR or 404 Page.
3.Currently in progress of fixing the current downloader and we will release UMD Downloader V2 with newer features & faster speeds,later this year.
